yep 2 points separating 7 teams. Massive Massive Massive 6 pointer do or die game. Most consequential in quite some time.

My Problem is, Everton cannot defend but they carry a goal threat. We struggle at trying to defend and carry almost no goal threat. We approach each game the same way and the the way we play is just predictable. They have never been relegated from the PL and always find a result when they need one. Even Lampard will have our number.

I think because of this, unless Moyes has an epiphany and changes his approach or the board intervene this could be a disastrous result in the history of this club.

Vexed, I agree mate, I cannot see why they would spend all that money with a championship long term game plan. I thought the post about it made sense only because I simply can't see why they're doing fuck all about Moyes and the shit he turns out every fkn week. At least it was an explanation albeit far fetched perhaps.

Even if the c*** gets us out of relegation and saves his job, we're resigned to this Moyes brand of crap football as long as the wanker is here & thats not good enough in my opinion.

I absolutely detest the prick and his smug attitude giving off 'I'm fireproof' in his interviews. And why are the media giving him such an easy ride with all this 'credit in the bank' bollocks?

Fuck off out of our club Moyes.

We won’t beat them as we cannot score.

A 0-0 at very best which will be dreadful as it will keep him in his job.

We are worse than Everton so I think we will lose. Soucek is the biggest problem. We are slow throughout the team but central midfield these days I think it’s all most unheard of to play a Papa Diop type “wardrobe” but then he had more technical ability than poor old Tommy Potatoe Salad. Harsh on him because he tries his very best and works so hard but cannot compete in the Premier League with its relentless pressing and speed. But he must replace him with Downes. Give it a try.

Although tactics have to change albutftyey wont. Downes will be quicker and passes so much better. Soucek I read only touched it 9 or 10 times yesterday ( can that be true ) and his passing completion / accuracy was 62%

That’s simply not good enough. Cresswell needs to make way and Antonio. He should Fab now too and Oggy and Coufal so it feels like a different team to everyone playing at least. Of course, as mentioned, the Paul Nevin tactics will persist but axing all the above players might speed us up a bit as a team.

But I expect it will be much the same but maybe with Benny and Scamacca starting.

We’re as good as down as things stand.

Even a win over Everton would only hide the fact we are onto nothing under Moyes anymore
It wouldn't guarantee safety and I don't think would be the springboard for going on a run. Winning yesterday could have given us that, but Everton are just in free fall like us and I can't see us turning up at Newcastle and giving them a game or even sitting in, digging for a point and coming out with any credibility. Same as the games against Chelsea and spurs

Everyone knows that the formation will be and could easily guess 9.out of 11 players that will play.

The formation and selection of players is problematic but not fundamental. The fact he sends them, whichever of them, out there with a particular attitude, tactics which inhibit any kind of forward play and most importantly, one single plan of attack of endless crosses to nobody, is the problem and why we will lose. I struggle to think of one through ball into feet of a player running towards the opposition goal in around 6 months.

The coaching by the coach is the problem.

Shit as we are this is a lose lose for Everton and Lampard. Jus think how much its going to hurt if Lampard gets the sack because he lost to West Ham? But if we lose we get rid of Moyes so he would have done us a favour, which would also rankle with him. If Everton win they probably get stuck with Lampard as manager. Lose to us and they're in the shit.

That's why it will be a draw, shit for everybody in every possible way.

Don't kill me for saying it, but Moyes has kept us up twice and the remaining porno probably thinks he can do it again.
Anyone know how long Moyes's contract is.

Just been watching Tottenham getting beat 0-2 by Arsenal.

In 79th minute I saw the Arsenal forwards sprinting to press their nearest Spurs defenders until Spurs ended up putting the ball into touch!

That’s a major reason Arsenal are going to win the PL…

I am going for a draw on Saturday the first ever minus 1 minus 1 result in football

both teams put eleven players in their own box and refuse to come out and touch the ball for 90 minutes

Moyes says it big step forward for the team

We need to hold our nerve. Moyes has it in him to keep us up. Get to the end of the season and then assess. Squad will look a lot different next season with Dec, Cress, Antonio all presumed gone. Count on The Czech guys too. Changing now to scratch an itch might prove disastrous.

"Moyes has it in him to keep us up"

With respect, I beg to differ. I have seen nothing in ten or so games that suggests we can do whats required to stay up. Same tired old team and tactics week after week which is just a gift to the opposition. We have seen no improvement.

Keeping Moyes is certain relegation and ruin

Sir Alf 11:30 Sun Jan 15
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread - Preview
Moyes will take us down. The most likely scenario.

Watch a few games not just ours and you will see we are without doubt the worst team in the Premiership. Our descent started early in 2021 and has picked up speed along with the ageing of many players and our tactics.

It’s not hysterics or emotions but facts based on many data points and by watching games.

I always bought into the “great team spirit” comments and weight he placed on it. But ironically it’s what I suspect has morphed into misplaced loyalty for certain players and development of tunnel vision.

It’s for this reason alone that in business you need to make a management change. Conscious or unconscious bias and favoritism related to players and coaching staff especially if the reality is you are just a general manager who is really not “Hands on” with coaching and tactics?

A new manager will be far more objective you would think and that alone should mean he quickly sees what we all see with regards to player selections, desperate lack of pace, running, pressing etc

You're a fucking maniac. What the fuck have you seen that makes you think that useless cunt can keep us up? We're on fifteen fucking points with the hardest games coming up. Scratch an itch? Are you fucking mental?

I'm in shock there's someone still backing Moyes. Just how bad would he have to be to lose your support?

For pretty much the first time ever I have to completely agree with vexed..

You must be as deluded as Moyes if you think we are about to turn this around by doing what? Nothing... as Moyes will just carry on picking the same players, frigging around with the formation I grant you but jeez its going one way... RELEGATION

Much like the Wolves game, can we beat them? of course we can, but Everton are not completely hopeless, fatty will have them fired up and they will be happy to be playing away right now. If Moyes is still here I see a draw at best, which will be nowhere near god enough.
